A journey through the fishing village of Koroni

This feature of the sound ethnographic journeys was recorded in Koroni, Greece in autumn 2016. Tow friends of mine, Jari and Julian, an artist and an animation guy, and I spent a couple of days there at the end of the season. Koroni presented itself as quite deserted. Only a few tourists were left, which allowed us to experience the place from quite a local perspective.

For the recording, I got up on Sunday 8 am. The plan was to find out how local life flows around these hours of the weekend. Throughout my journey through the city, I found the local church holding a mass. What a great audio trace! After that, I visited the vegetable market and walked to the promenade …
